The White Sox are rolling out their typical names against a right-handed pitcher, but in an atypical order, with the most notable change being Colson Montgomery batting ninth.
Given that he finished the regular season a true 0-for-24 and hit just .099/.216/.210 with 42 strikeouts over 93 plate appearances in September, he's not being picky.
“I don’t care where I’m at, as long as I’m in the lineup,” Montgomery said. “Being in the lineup, that gives me the confidence that that’s where they want me to be, and I’m okay with it.”
On the pitching side, the only pitcher who seems out of play is Sean Burke, who will either be starting Game 2, or pitching in the bulk role for it.
