Thanks to rainouts across the Southeast, the four White Sox full-season affiliates all played doubleheaders on Saturday.

A long day became even longer when half of the pitchers the White Sox started failed to pitch into the second inning.

Noah Schultz wasn't the problem, as he bounced back from a rocky 2025 debut with five scoreless innings. But Hagen Smith followed with more early control problems that caused him to hit his single-inning pitch limit before he recorded a third out, and he had plenty of company at the other levels in the organization.

Even with Schultz's longest-ever outing, the eight starters averaged just 2⅓ innings between them, mostly because they averaged one walk per inning.
