White Sox Minor Keys: Oct. 2, 2021

Memphis Anne Meadows

The Charlotte Knights saw their Friday and Saturday games in Memphis washed out by rain, so the already flimsy "Final Stretch" concept is losing what little tension it had. If they can manage to play one more game, it's a matter of finishing the weird 10-game tournament 3-5 or 2-6. (Durham is 9-0, which reinforces the Tampa Bay Rays' utter dominance of the minor leagues this year.)

The DSL White Sox did play their final two games without incident, and the box scores are below:

DSL Padres 12, DSL White Sox 1 (Oct. 1, 7 innings)

    • Victor Quezada went 2-for-3.
    • Carlos Jimenez was 1-for-3 with a stolen base.
    • Carlos Hinestroza: 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K

DSL Mariners 2, DSL White Sox 0 (Oct. 2, 6½ innings, rain)

    • Carlos Jimenez went 0-for-3.

The DSL White Sox finished their season 26-33.
