Adam Engel hasn't had the most productive rehab stint with the Charlotte Knights, although the schedule hasn't helped. He started four games over five days, but he sat in the middle of the series, and a doubleheader on Saturday limited him to just two plate appearances there, limiting him to just four of six games last week.
He's back in Charlotte, where hopefully he'll start a normal week against Durham. He opened with an 0-for-2 performance that knocked him down to 2-for-15 during the stint, but he reached base twice, including his second HBP. He's also struck out a respectable four times over 18 plate appearances, so while the Sox could've used him on the roster as a replacement for Andrew Vaughn over the last few days, his timing could be far worse than it is.
