While Saturday's White Sox-Tigers game started early to avoid a rain delay, this one is starting under a rain delay in hopes of avoiding further disruption. A start time has yet to be announced.

The White Sox have reinstated Huascar Brazobán from the injured list after completing a rehab stint for a strained left lats, optioning Chris Murphy to Charlotte.
Barring injury, this effectively takes Murphy out of play for the rest of the season, since pitchers have to wait 15 days before they can be recalled. It hasn't gone well for him, as his last three times out resulted in a bases-clearing double for Alec Burleson in St. Louis, two first-inning homers as an opener against Cleveland, and a two-out RBI double in his inning against Detroit on Friday.
Brazobán isn't a better bet, as his ground-ball rate, strikeout rate and average exit velocity allowed all went the wrong way after the trade from the Mets, and immediately. He did grounders half the time during his rehab stint at Triple-A, and now we'll see if that carries over at all.

Troy Melton had a 1.46 ERA the last time he faced the White Sox, so that he comes into this start with a 2.52 ERA actually reflects recent struggles, rather than year-long dominance. The Sox harrassed him for three runs over 4 ⅓ innings back on Aug. 15, and it's been tougher sledding for him ever since. He comes into this one with a 5.81 ERA and 5.76 FIP over his last five starts.
