Good morning!
With Jim highlighting the lengths to which Miguel Vargas is being respected, I thought it might be interesting to examine just how he compares across other playoff runs in terms of walks. As it turns out, he is tied for second all-time with three walks over the course of the ALDS. Pending the results of tonight's game, Vargas could very well be on top of this list: perhaps, a couple dingers (with multiple runners on base) would take the sting out of missing the top spot.
Today's quiz will test you on White Sox batters who have walked two times or more in a playoff game. That's 34 entries: how many can you name? Good luck!
Quiz Parameters
- I've allotted for 10 minutes completion attempts.
- For hints, I've provided the year and the position of the player in question.
Useless information to amaze, annoy, confuse, and/or confound your friends and family:
- Of the players on this list, just one player (you'll never guess!) has a slash line of 1.000/1.000/1.000.
- The White Sox are 17-17 in such games.
- The biggest margin of victory is six, in 2021 and 2005. May we see that tonight.
