Roch Cholowsky's pro career has gotten off to a slow start, and on both sides of the ball.

He went 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts at the plate againt Greensboro on Saturday, but he also committed a pair of errors, his fourth and fifth of the season in his ninth game, to open the bottom of the fourth and fifth innings. In the former frame, he seemed to round off a grounder to his right, but the ball handcuffed him on the final hop. In the latter, Cholowsky waited back on a four-hopper, but the glove came up on a flatter hop, and he ended up knocking it down to himself.

He also had an error on Friday, rushing a throw from behind second base without planting his feet or turning his body when it seemed like he had time to gather himself.

The general idea is that you can more or less shrug away a pro debut season, whether it's the length of the season, the length of the layoff beore restarting, or anything the team may want them working on. With just three weeks remaining in Winston-Salem's season after the finale against the Grasshoppers today, it's probably the best place to let him ride out the season.
