In terms of wins and losses, the Winston-Salem Dash are well ahead of where they were last season, improving to 59-49 with an 8-6 win over Greensboro on Tuesday. That's three more victories than they notched all of last season, when they ended up the year 56-74, and with two more wins, they'll have posted their most successful season since the pandemic:

• 2021: 43-76
• 2022: 58-74
• 2023: 60-66
• 2024: 60-72
• 2025: 56-74
• 2026: 59-49

They've had the opposite fortune at the box office, however. Baseball America's J.J. Cooper analyzed attendance trends for a story on Tuesday, and in a year where drawing power is lagging overall, the Dash are among the ones suffering the biggest drops in support.

That also means that 84 teams are drawing fewer fans this year, with 42 seeing more than a 200-fan drop. Twelve teams are seeing a 500-plus decline from last year.

The Winston-Salem Dash have drawn 2,760 fans per game this year. That’s down from 3,902 in announced attendance per game last year for a drop of 1,142 that is the most in the minors. Nearby, the Greensboro Grasshoppers are down 722 fans per game, and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs have dipped by 721. The Iowa Cubs (-689) and Lansing Lugnuts (-642) are also down more than 600 fans per game.
