Good morning!

As the fellas discussed on Thursday's podcast, the White Sox just might have found a staying solution in right field. Braden Montgomery is holding his own as a rookie: while the offense could use some improvement, the defense already seems to be well on its way.

A stable right field situation isn't something the White Sox have had in a long, long time. You have to go all the way back to 2018 to find a player who even appeared in more than 81 games in right in a season.

So, today's Sporcle will test you on your knowledge of right fielders. You are tasked with naming every player to appear in at least one game in right field dating back to 1990. That’s 240 names: how many can you get? Good luck!

Quiz Parameters

  • I’ve allotted the full 25 minutes for completion attempts.
  • For hints, I’ve provided the year, and the number of games each player appeared in right field.

Useless information to amaze, annoy, confuse, and/or confound your friends and family:

  • The White Sox were truly blessed with stability in right field from 1997-2009: two players (I bet you can name them!) accounted for 79% of all RF appearances in that span.
  • Those same two players accounted for 52.9% of all home runs from Sox right fielders (417/788).
  • The average triple-slash of the players on this list: .247/.308/.391.
