When William Bergolla Jr. was injured in a collision with Sam Antonacci back when both were on the Charlotte Knights, it was hard to square up the visual of Bergolla being carted off the field with the White Sox's description of the injury as merely a bruised shin.

Today marks one month since the incident, and it seems as though the cart helped indicate the severity after all.

"He's continuing to rehab. Hasn't really been able to get over the hump," Chris Getz told reporters before the start of the White Sox-Mariners series on Friday.

"He still has some soreness in there, some nagging soreness. Just going to try to get that better. We're better as an organization having William Bergolla healthy and playing. He got off to such a nice start, we've seen what he's capable of doing, both in the minor leagues this year and in spring training. High contact rate and his overall play both defensively, baserunning, his style of play fits in very well with what we're trying to do up here, so certainly want to get him back. We just haven't been able to get there quite yet."
