Birmingham Barons bench
Jim Margalus / Sox Machine

As we prepare for another Farm Fortnight and revise the boards for each affiliate, let's tie up one loose end with Jarold Rosado.

Rosado wouldn't normally be Fortnight following material, what with him being a 23-year-old reliever repeating Double-A after an ugly 14 games with Birmingham the year before, but he made the board out of morbid curiosity after allowing 11 runs over his previous inning of work, which spanned two appearances. He then took the mound against Rocket City and walked four batters while retiring four batters, giving him all nine walks of his season over a two-game, two-inning stretch.

He's since recovered, as he closed out a productive series against Columbus with his third consecutive scoreless, walkless inning. His ERA is still 14.63, so he'll have to have plenty more scoreless innings to bring it back down in the realm of the respectable, but he no longer appears to be disintegrating before our eyes, and that's worth something.
