In an Old Friend Alert that brings some closure to a notable White Sox player development misstep, Oscar Colás' stateside professional career is in jeopardy, as the 27-year-old signed with the Mexican League's Saraperos de Saltillo this week.
Colás was part of the White Sox organization as recently as last year, although it seems longer than that since they effectively wrote him out of their plans following the 2023 season. The Sox released him last May, and while the Angels picked him up due to their crippling addiction to wayward South Siders, he never escaped Double-A, hitting .221/.289/.409 over 78 games the remainder of the season with the Rocket City Trash Pandas.
Look, I mostly wanted to use that photo one more time.

*Here's Kelenic:
Jarred Kelenic is feeling GRAND as well!
