Good morning! A happy holiday season to those who celebrate, and for everybody else, may your weekend be restful.
With Munetaka Murakami officially in the fold, and likely to play first base, we're presented with an opportunity for a challenging quiz: other White Sox first basemen who batted as a lefty.
While I could have gone full sadist and provided a list of any lefty who appeared at first, I decided to raise the bar a little higher than that. Thus, today's quiz will ask you to name left-handed first basemen who appeared at first base for the White Sox in a minimum of ten games. That still gives us 150 entries: how many can you name? Good luck!
Quiz Parameters
- I've allotted the full 25 minutes for completion attempts.
- For hints, I've provided the number of games the player appeared in at first base (though not necessarily their full number of games appeared in a season!), and the season.
Useless information to amaze, annoy, confuse, and/or confound your friends and family:
- The average triple-slash of the players on this list: .252/.328/.367
- The highest OPS+ of the players on this list: 172, coming in the 1915 season.
- The most stolen bases: 52, coming all the way back in 1901.
