Good morning!
While perusing various Sox box scores over the course of this season, it dawned on me that no White Sox batter has logged five hits in one game. Digging in further, I was surprised to discover that no White Sox batter has had such a game since 2022! (Perhaps that's simply my own naivety, given how terrible recent squads have been.)
In fact, as you'll see in this morning's quiz: entering Friday night's game against the Royals, just two Sox batters for a total of three instances have had a 5-hit game dating back to 2017. Four different batters this season have logged a 4-hit game, however: Edgar Quero, Kyle Teel, Chase Meidroth, and Miguel Vargas. Meidroth, Teel, and Quero all had one additional AB to get the elusive fifth hit, but alas.
Today's Sporcle will take a look at other 5-hit games throughout franchise history: in all there are 117. How many can you get? Good luck!

- I've allotted 15 minutes for completion attempts.
- For hints, I've provided the date of the game, and the position of the player in question.
Useless information to amaze, annoy, confuse, and/or confound your friends and family:
- The White Sox are 97-18-2 when a player has a five-hit game.
- The largest win from the games on this list is a 29-6 blowout of the Kansas City Athletics in 1955. As you may note from the Sporcle list, two players recorded five-hit games during that victory.
- The biggest loss came in 1918, when the team lost 11-5 against Detroit. That Sox team somehow managed to score just those 5 runs despite collecting 14 hits.
