White Sox Minor Keys: Aug. 30, 2026

How good was David Sandlin's start on Saturday? It placed him second on the latest Baseball America Hot Sheet even though it was the only game he pitched this past week.

The White Sox acquired Sandlin from the Red Sox prior to the season, and he’s made five appearances for the major league squad to date. During his time in Triple-A, Sandlin has produced some of the best numbers of his career. This past week, he tossed seven scoreless innings while mixing a low-90s cutter, a four-seam fastball that sat 96-98 mph, a mid-80s sweeper, curveball and changeup. He generated 16 whiffs on 91 pitches to spin a seven-inning complete game in the second game of a doubleheader on Saturday. Sandlin has a shot to see some more action for the White Sox once rosters expand this week.

• Ryan Galanie, 1-for-4 with a strikeout.
• Kyle Teel caught a full game and doubled twice, singled and struck out.
• Junior Pérez was 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout.
• Shane Murphy in his return to Triple-A: 7 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 K, 1 HBP, 54 of 78 pitches for strikes.
• Peyton Pallette off the IL: 0.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 1 K, 16 of 31 pitches for strikes.

• Caleb Bonemer returned to third base and went 2-for-4 with a homer, double, walk and strikeout.

• Juan Carela: 5 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 3 K, 46 of 80 pitches for strikes.
• Mathias LaCombe: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K, 1 HBP, 12 of 25 pitches for strikes.
