Good morning!
Chase Meidroth has had a fine start to his rookie campaign, already worth 1.6 bWAR entering Friday's contest against the Royals while slashing .312/.401/.369. That patient approach is sure nice to see, after years of watching Sox hitters flail at anything and everything. Heck, Meidroth had two hits and took three walks en route to a 3-2 victory against the Tigers Thursday afternoon.
Something else Meidroth has done frequently this season? Appear at both second base and shortstop in the same game. He's already done that 10 times this season which is the most by a single player on the Sox since 2008. Today's Sporcle is all about that combination: name the players who have played both second base and shortstop in a game (and only those) throughout the history of the team. In all, there are 239 occurrences (don't worry, there are several guys who make up a fair number of said occurrences): how many can you get? Good luck!
Quiz Parameters
- You don't really need many hints for this one, so I've provided just the date of the game.
- I've allotted 20 minutes for completion attempts.
Useless information to amaze, annoy, confuse, and/or confound your friends and family:
- In baseball history, Mike Gallego (mostly of the A's and Yankees) did this the most times in a career, 76.
- The White Sox are 105-134 when this occurs.
