Rikuu Nishida was called up to Chicago on Monday in anticipation of a White Sox being placed on the bereavement list today. That player is Andrew Benintendi, so he'll be out of the lineup tonight and Wednesday at the very least.
The White Sox are rolling out their best defensive outfield to compensate, putting Brenton Doyle in center, Tristan Peters in left, and Braden Montgomery in right. Sam Antonacci will be tonight's designated hitter.

The White Sox then made an unanticipated roster move by placing Huascar Brazobán on the injured list with a left lat strain, calling up Jonathan Cannon to take his place.
Brazbobán has been scored upon in five of his last six appearances, including a run in the sixth inning of Monday night's game. He seemed to tweak said lat during an at-bat against Evan Carter, during which Will Venable made a mound visit with the trainer because Brazobán was seen stretching out his left side on a 2-1 pitch.
Before today's game, Venable described it as "a little left lat that just kind of cramped up on him a little bit. It was just for one pitch, and he was kind of shaking his arm out a little bit. But he got evaluated, and he's throwing right now. All indications are that he’s fine."
Nevertheless, Brazobán on the IL, perhaps in hopes that some rest will right the ship after an ugly start to his White Sox career.
Cannon takes his place, and with Trevor Richards hitting the wall after 2 ⅔ innings last night, he'll be able to give the White Sox bullpen length if needed. He's had a decent season in Charlotte, especially after a rough start. He's wearing an Albany ERA for the season at Triple-A (5.18), but it's 4.04 with a strikeout an inning over his last 16 games.
Cannon's first task at hand is to get a major league ERA for the season. It's infinite at the moment, as he walked all three batters he faced against the Royals back on April 12 before leaving with a hip impingement, and one of those runners came around to score.
