White Sox Minor Keys: May 29, 2025

White Sox prospect Mathias LaCombe

Mathias LaCombe (Freek Bouw/Four Seam Images)

By his recent performances, Mathias LaCombe took a step back on Thursday. He entered the game having allowed just two runs over 8 ⅔ innings across his last three outings, but catcher interference with two outs opened the door for a two-run third, and then he gave up a solo shot among three hits in the fourth inning.

Still, there were two things going for him:

  1. The four innings represented the longest outing of his career.
  2. There's finally video footage of him via Jerry Espinoza, in which he gets a couple of goofy swings on his sweeper.
