The boys are back in town, and so are the First Pitch watchalong jamborees. Over the course of spring training, we'll have these threads for every White Sox spring training game that is widely available for our largely Chicagoland-based readership.
Pregame notes
--Davis Martin is the scheduled starter for Monday (Rule 5 pick Shane Smith is on Sunday), making him the first of the established White Sox rotation pieces to pitch this spring. But Will Venable said the White Sox are "not there yet" for determining their Opening Day starter and that there probably isn't much to read into from the early spring ordering of pitchers.
--Braden Montgomery, Jacob Gonzalez, Tim Elko and Wilfred Veras are among the prospects who made the trip to Sloan Park.
--The White Sox have agreed to terms with all 30 pre-arbitration eligible players on their 40-man roster. Jared Shuster is the top earner among them at $772,350, followed by Korey Lee at an even $771,000 and Miguel Vargas at $770,400.
