Your New Chicago White Sox

PREAMBLE

Please give me something different next season and a reason to attend a game… Unfortunately Grifol is here to stay so I believe Getz will fetch him a couple of his old KC buddies. This team I put together removes the exhausting lazy players I’m tired of seeing and replacing them with some older veterans. I tried making this roster realistic as possible with Reinsdorf restrictions.

  • Dylan Cease: $8.8M tender
  • Andrew Vaughn: $3.7M tender
  • Michael Kopech: $3.6M trade
  • Touki Toussaint: $1.7M tender
  • Trayce Thompson: $1.7M non
  • Garrett Crochet: $900K tender
  • Clint Frazier: $900K non
  • Matt Foster: $740K non

CLUB OPTIONS

  • Tim Anderson: $14M ($1M buyout) buyout
  • Liam Hendriks: $15M ($15M buyout, paid $1.5M annually over next 10 years) buyout

OTHER IMPENDING FREE AGENTS

  • Elvis Andrus ($3M) re-sign
  • Bryan Shaw ($720K) let go
  • José Ureña ($720K) let go

FREE AGENTS

No. 1: Jorge Soler  (3 years, $50 million). A proven winner and great bat to have in the lineup to protect Luis Robert. Contract value based off Spotrac.

No. 2: Kenta Maeda (1 year, $12 million). Veteran starting pitcher who knows the central division. Contract value based off Spotrac.

No. 3: Gio Urshela (1 year, 8 million. 2nd year mutual option 8 million). Veteran stop gap at 3B until Ramos is ready. Contract value based off Spotrac.

No. 4: Whit Merrifield (1 year, 7 million. 2nd year mutual opinion 7 million). Proven veteran 2B and old KC buddy of Grifol. Contract value based off Spotrac.

No. 5: Alex Wood (1 year, $7 million). This team needs arms. Contract value based off Spotrac.

No. 6: Elvis Andrus (1 year, 3 million). Veteran stop gap at SS until Montgomery is ready. Contract value based off Spotrac.

TRADES

No. 1: Trade Eloy Jimenez and Aaron Bummer to San Francisco for Mike Yastrzemski and Ross Stripling. This trade is accepted and is a minor over pay on MLB Trade Simulator. I’m 100% ready to rid ourselves of Eloys “Hi Mom” BS and goofing around and replace him with a solid veteran left handed bat and RF in Yastrzemski. Bringing back the Stripling $ isn’t ideal but is necessary to make the deal work.

No. 2: Trade Yoan Moncada, Oscar Colas and Michael Kopech to Kansas City for Salvador Perez, Nelson Valazquez and Cole Ragans. This trade is accepted and is an even fair trade on MLB Trade Simulator. Goodbye Moncada and his BS, Goodbye to Sleepy Colas and Goodbye to mental midget Michael Kopech… Grifol gets his beloved son back in Perez. Velazquez could turn into something and can play all OF spots. Cole Ragans gets inserted into the starting rotation.

any plan to trade for Sal Perez is a bad plan, this is even worse as you want to trade a bad 1 year contract for a worse 2 year contract.
