That curveball 🤤

StockroomSnail

Tim “single to right” Anderson

StockroomSnail

Not an Abreu scoop, yikes.

StockroomSnail

Stone changed from “cease is challenging hitters” to “That’s going to increase his pitch count” very quickly.

Cy Lorenzen

How many times do the White Sox needs to face Lorenzen before they figure him out?

Adam

28 pitches for Lorenzen through 3. Sox hitters have the worst /no gameplan ever. Constant protect mode. If it’s near the zone, it’s go time

As Cirensica

And here we go with walks and the inability to throw strikes.

Adam

Well we lead 75-28 in pitches thrown. If we can figure out how to do that in runs scored, the run differential deficit would be a thing of the past.

Adam

Oh my, we’d actually still be 5 short. That’s incredible

a-t

#WILDPITCHOFFENSE

Joliet Orange Sox

cancelled out by #wildpitchdefense

Malkatraz

man on 3rd and that’s the effort the catcher gives? thanks.

soxygen

I’m not ready to say which of these two teams is the third best team in the division.

StockroomSnail

It’s win the division or top 7 pick in the AL central

StockroomSnail

That looked painful for luis

As Cirensica

As long as we win, I’ll take it

As Cirensica

Funny how we have all the core players healthy and still can’t scored. In the meantime our best hitter at home by 100 miles is in the bench.

As Cirensica

1-2-3 innings all around

ChiSoxND12

At least Lorenzen doesn’t have a perfecto going this time!

roke1960

I said it yesterday- after watching Lorenzen dominate the Sox the last two outings, he will be Hahn’s biggest free agent acquisition of the offseason.

Adam

He doesn’t walk people. I’d trade Giolito for him right now

roke1960

If he was acquired by the Sox he’d start walking people.

Adam

3-4-5, third time through the order today, 6th time in a week. 7 pitches, down without a peep.

roke1960

I still don’t know how you guys can sit thru this day after day. It’s painful following it on Gameday.

Adam

Lol yeah but its baseball. I have an outside tv setup. Wife is tanning, pups are lounging around, food is on. It’s a good summer day, even if the white sox are actively trying to bring it to its knees.

roke1960

I guess you can’t have everything perfect!!

roke1960

That’s a lot better than me sitting at work following the game on Gameday!

Adam

Well at this rate you may make it home to see the end. A walk off would be a nice boost. Each team has the “heart” of the order here coming up

As Cirensica

I like baseball in general

roke1960

I love baseball- I have all my life- but I also hate self-inflicted pain!

As Cirensica

That’s why we drink

Adam

Graveman has been fantastic this year.

Fantastic in different ways – Robert vs Lange’s breaking stuff may be a sight to behold this half inning

Adam

Should have bunted Robert

As Cirensica

Lange didn’t throw strikes last time and he got an easy 1-2-3 inning… Beni had a different approach: swing only to strikes

As Cirensica

Robert didn’t read the memo. Got K’ed with balls outside of the strike zone. One was almost a one hop grounder

ChiSoxND12

Luis is definitely the Sox’ best player. I feel like the majority of team’s best players simply give you a better at-bat in that spot.

Adam

I don’t think Robert has had a single good at bat in 3 weeks

a-t

He chases a lot. But his chase rate this year is right in line with Julio, Bichette, Arenado, Trea Turner, etc.

StockroomSnail

The one eloy struck out was nasty but luis is trying to get them on the second hop.

roke1960

Our 3-4-5 hitters, the “core” of this rebuild- 0-12 with 6 strikeouts. At least they won’t be coming up in the 10th.

As Cirensica

New rule: whoever makes to 3B is granted a run scored.

As Cirensica

Maybe that’s too hard. Let’s give each team two manfred men. You are free to place in any bag of your choosing

Reynaldo has been a supercharged Jose Ruiz this year, no?

ChiSoxND12

As in throws hard, isn’t good?

ChiSoxND12

Not tryna be a smartass just curious. I remember Ruiz throwing a lot higher % of off-speed stuff than ReyLo,, usually curves and changes where ReyLo tons of 4-seamers w sliders mixed in

As Cirensica

Ahhh walking hitters makes its appearance again.

Adam

Big inning Rey-lo!!!

roke1960

Except for Kelly’s hiccups in Detroit last weekend, the bullpen has been great. And it should continue to get better as Liam rounds into shape. Now get a run!!

As Cirensica

Whoever tires first loses

As Cirensica

LMAO

This game was probably the worst baseball game I have ever watched

roke1960

Only 2 teams in the AL Central could play a game like this.

StockroomSnail

“Professional” baseball at it’s meh’ist

roke1960

All 3 runs today scored on wild pitches. But a win is a win!!

Joliet Orange Sox

I think the scorer may change that last one to a passed ball. I think most catchers don’t let that pitch get past.

Joliet Orange Sox

What a weird play to end the game. I’ll take the win.

ChiSoxND12

How many games have had 3 runs scored via wild pitch without any other method of run-scoring?

roke1960

Hahn better start preparing details for the parade in November!!

a-t

I feel bad for the ump, but this is tremendous content

asinwreck

What a perfect ending to a deeply, deeply stupid game.

bfl5916

Love the stupid game comment! I’ll tell you something stupider. Why in the world didn’t Gonzalez start? Playing well at the plate and playing well in the field. Hustling on every play. Can you imagine, he comes to the park today and sees he’s not in the line up! I know what I would think. What the blank do I have to do? Maybe tomorrow the Sox will win on a balk. Haven’t seen that in a while.
