You would think that things couldn't get any worse for the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers after they dropped to 0-9 by losing a 6-0 lead over the final four innings on Thursday night's game, including a spectacular meltdown in the ninth.
You would be wrong, because the Cannon Ballers went and got no-hit by three Fayetteville Woodpeckers pitchers, with a four-inning save being the final indignity. They didn't manage to put five runners on base via four walks and an HBP, but there's extra pain in this no-hitter since they were also kept out of that column over the final six innings on Thursday. Their last hit was a José Rodriguez single back in the third inning of that game.
