With Gio Gonzalez returning to the warm embrace of the organization which drafted him --way back in the heady days of 2004-- it's time to take a look back at where Double G would slot in among Sox pitching had he remained with the team.
Using Baseball Reference's version of WAR, Gonzalez has accumulated 29.2 over the course of his career. That actually slots in for third-best for a White Sox pitcher going back to 2000. Not too shabby!
Your goal, then, is to name the other Sox pitchers with some success. What defines "success"? To qualify for today's Sporcle, a pitcher must have accumulated a minimum of 5 WAR or more over the course of their tenure with the team: that's 20 names total. How many can you get? Good luck!

- The player with the highest ERA+ on this list logged a nifty 205 over the course of his White Sox tenure.
- That same player logged the top K% (28.7), ERA (2.10), and triple-slash against (.203/.290/.312).
- On this list, no player recorded an OPS+ against higher than 102.
