FREE AGENTS

No. 1: Yasmani Grandal 5 years/$90 Million. Would give the White Sox best C depth in AL and a veteran bat who's going to hit some dingers and see alot of pitches in front of the young sluggers.

No. 2: Zack Wheeler 5 years/$85 Million. Legit top of the rotation arm to slot right behind Giolito.

No. 3: Wade Miley 3 years/$42 Million. Wade Miley is a solid, middle of the rotation lefty who found some "magic" with Houston's Pitching analytics. I'd love to sign Gerrit Cole to not only be the ace but also to get an inside look at what HOU is cooking up, but JR is never going to go 7 or 8 years on a P. This is the next best option.

TRADES

No. 1: Trade: LAD gets Dane Dunning & Steele Walker

CHW gets Joc Pederson

Stole the the details from Josh Nelson's twitter but I've been advocating for a Pederson trade since last year. The OF depth will allow the Sox to split Pederson and Engle vs lefties. Would also add much needed Left-Handed pop to in the lineup.

SUMMARY

I'm not sure if I have communicated this properly...BUT THE REBUILD IS DEAD. $114 Million in payroll, some wiggle room to close deal with FAs. If JR is going to blow the doors off the budget by letting Ricky Hahn do work (as long as it's not more than $160M because JR still needs his taste) I'm adding JD Martinez (sorry Collins) and Will Harris to the 26 man roster as well. The development of Robert, Jimenez, and Kopech will be the fulcrum of 2020. Are we a playoff team? Can breakout stars Giolito, Anderson, and Moncada continue their dominance? Let us see, you and I.
