The Glendale Desert Dogs entered Thursday with a 3-10 record, mostly due to averaging just 3.3 runs per game.

One game later, the Desert Dogs are averaging 4.6 runs per game, thanks to a 21-8 rout of Scottsdale. Glendale actually led by a more reasonable score of 10-8 entering the ninth before scoring 11 in the final frame.

Alas, Laz Rivera was the only White Sox prospect to get involved in the onslaught, although he did have one of the team's three four-hit games.

Glendale 21, Scottsdale 8

    • Laz Rivera went 4-for-6 with a strikeout and a stolen base.
    • Tanner Banks: 4.2 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 2 K, 1 HR
    • Zach Thompson picked up the save in a 13-run victory because he recorded the last out of the eighth: 1.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K.
