Minor league roundup: August 23

In a season where the White Sox prospect list has been ravaged by injuries, slumps and trades, Brent Morel has handled every challenge thrown his way.
A 2-for-4 night (including his seventh homer) gives Morel 15 hits in his last 34 at-bats, raising his Charlotte line to .321/.350/.498, even though he’s been playing mostly shortstop since Dayan Viciedo’s demotion. The scouts weren’t lying about his acumen.
