Good morning!

Here we are just hours before the Sox face Cleveland in game one of the ALDS, and the roster seems up to the task. Chase Meidroth's emphatic three-run dinger helped seal the deal on a dusting of the Astros, and it also represented the most total bases in game by a White Sox hitter this series, with five.

While five total bases may not seem like much in the context of the regular season-- the Sox logged 99 instances of five or more total bases over the course of 162 games; Miguel Vargas led with eleven, in case you were wondering-- the postseason is a different story. Now including Meidroth, just 23 Sox batters have logged five or more total bases in a postseason game.

23 entries doesn't make for much of a challenge, so today's Sporcle will ask you to name the White Sox players throughout playoff history who have logged 4 total bases or more in a single postseason game. That's 65 entries: how many can you get? Good luck!

Quiz Parameters

  • I've allotted 10 minutes for completion attempts.
  • For hints, I've provided the number of total bases, the date of the game, and the position that the player played during that game.

Useless information to amaze, annoy, confuse, and/or confound your friends and family:

  • The most total bases in a single game for the White Sox is 10, logged during the 14-2 drubbing of the Red Sox in '05.
  • Albert Pujols (2011 World Series, Cardinals) and Bob Robertson (1971 NLCS, Pirates) share the record for most TBs in a single game, with 14.
  • The player who sits with third-most TBs from this list (8), did so by cracking 4 doubles in a game in 1906.
