Pitching and trust the system

PREAMBLE

Trades at the deadline not now

ARBITRATION-ELIGIBLE PLAYERS

• Miguel Vargas: Tender
• Brenton Doyle: Tender
• Joey Bart: Non-tender
• Huascar Brazobán: Non-tender
• Jordan Leasure: Non-tender
• Chris Murphy: Tender

I want to stress pitching and defense. Doyle is an excellent defender. Vargas is a no brainer. Murphy is not expensive and can be cut.

OTHER IMPENDING FREE AGENTS

• Erick Fedde
• Jake Rogers

I expect a bounce back from Edgar Quero - bat speed meant no hit for him. Rogers is better than Bart and isn't paid too much that he cannot be cut.

FREE AGENTS

Michael King - 3 years $90 MM
Bryan Abreu - 2 year $20 MM

TRADES

None until the deadline

SUMMARY

I am noy impressed by the free agent market. Let the kids improve and trade at the deadline. Pitching will be way overpriced for what you will get.
