White Sox Minor Keys: Sept. 6, 2026

The Kannapolis Cannon Ballers became the first full-season White Sox affiliate to wind down their season, bringing their 2026 to a close with a 14-3 victory over Delmarva. They finished the year 71-61, with all of the games over .500 being accounted for during a 38-28 second half. They just had the misfortune of sharing a division with the Hickory Crawdads, who ran away from the rest of the Carolina League South Division with a 48-17 record after the break.

The Winston-Salem Dash closed out their regular season with a loss, so they did not win the second-half championship over Bowling Green, but their spot in the postseason -- and lack of home field advantage -- was already assured.

In the meantime, they made a specific kind of history in the South Atlantic League:

Gwinnett 5, Charlotte 2

• Ryan Galanie singled and struck out thrice.
• Junior Pérez was 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts.
• Noah Schultz: 4 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 35 of 56 pitches for strikes.
• Chris Murphy: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 10 of 12 pitches for strikes.
• Tanner McDougal: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K, 1 HBP, 12 of 17 pitches for strikes.

Biloxi 12, Birmingham 1

• Caleb Bonemer went 0-for-4 with a strikeout.
• Colby Shelton was 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.
• Ryan Burrowes went 2-for-4 with a stolen base.
• Samuel Zavala, 0-for-2 with two walks.
• Mathias Lacombe: 0.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, but let all three inherited runners score.
• Seth Keener: 0.2 IP, 3 H, 5 R, 0 ER, 4 BB, 1 K, 18 of 38 pitches for strikes.

Rome 12, Winston-Salem 4

• Javier Mogollón was 1-for-5 with three strikeouts.
• Kyle Lodise, 0-for-5 witha. K.
• James Taussig and Jeral perez both were 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout.
• Nick McLain went 1-for-3 with a double, walk and strikeout.
• Braden Holcomb, 2-for-4 with a strikeout.
• Blaine Wynk: 2 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K, 1 HR, 24 of 36 pitches for strikes.

Kannapolis 14, Delmarva 3

• Jaden Fauske went 1-for-4 with a walk and two strikeouts.
• Matthew Boughton was 0-for-3 with two walks and a strikeout.
• Alexander Albertus had himself a day: 4-for-5 with a homer, double, four runs scored and six RBIs. You can forgive the strikeout.
• Christian Gonzalez was 1-for-5.
