Two open postseason questions for the White Sox farm system were resolved on Friday, for better or for worse.
For better: Greensboro rallied with a three-run eighth to beat the Frederick, 7-5, so the Winston-Salem Dash will face the Grasshoppers in the latest installment of the Battle of I-40: The South Atlantic League Championship Series.
Winston-Salem will host Game 1 on Sunday, with the other two games of the best-of-three series set for Greensboro on Tuesday and Wednesday (if necessary). It's a 34-minute drive from one ballpark to the other, so the travel day isn't really necessary.
For worse: The Barons were eliminated from postseason contention with two games to play after their 8-7 loss to Knoxville.

- Junior Pérez was 0-for-2 with a walk and a strikeout.
- Shane Murphy: 7 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 5 K, 1 HR, 57 of 86 pitches for strikes.
Knoxville 8, Birmingham 7
- Caleb Bonemer hit his 37th homer of the season, finishing 1-for-3 with a walk.
- Colby Shelton was 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout.
- Ryan Burrowes went 1-for-4 with a strikeout.
