After sneaking into the South Atlantic League playoffs by finishing second in the second half to the right team, the Winston-Salem Dash swept that right team out of the divisional series.

The Dash took both games from the Bowling Green Hot Rods, following up their come-from-behind victory in Game 1 in Winston-Salem with a never-trailed 4-1 Game 2 winner. Now they'll wait for the winner of Game 3 between Greensboro and Frederick to set the South Atlantic League Championsip Finals as the Dash aim to win their first league title since 2003.

If divisional series had MVPs, Javier Mogollón might have the strongest claim, as he came up with the biggest hits in both games. This time, he got an assist from Bowling Green left fielder Nicandro Aybar, who lost track of Mogollón's fly ball in the lights. It dropped so far away from him down the left field line that center fielder Braden Summerhill ended up being the one who retrieved it, but by the time they could stop play, Mogollón had a two-run triple that put the Dash up 3-1.
