Good morning!

There's been a fair bit of Miguel Vargas-themed trivia content over here at Sox Machine Sporcle Saturday, and for good reason: he's posting numbers as a third baseman this franchise hasn't seen in some time. Getting a mainstay at the hot corner would be most welcome! Thus, this week's quiz will also connect to Miguel Vargas in some way: namely, who has appeared in at least one game at third base for the White Sox since 1990? This theme comes courtesy of Sporcle regular roke1960, who suggested it back on August 22.

In all, there are 190 names: how many can you get? Good luck!

Quiz Parameters

  • I've allotted the full 25 minutes for completion attempts.
  • For hints, I've provided the year and the number of games at third base.

Useless information to amaze, annoy, confuse, and/or confound your friends and family:

  • Of the players on this list, Miguel Vargas is second with 13 stolen bases: the leader (improbably in my mind, at least) has 14, in 2016.
  • Total bases? Eleventh, with 226. Top is 294 (1996), but an average month could easily see him in the top five (261 or better).
  • Home runs as only a third baseman: tied for fourth, and four more would get him to 30, only three other Sox third basemen have accomplished that feat.
