The destination in Texas will be settled in a matter of hours, when we see how the Rangers fare against the Twins, and the Astros against the Athletics. Houston can clinch with a win since it holds the tiebreaker, while the Rangers need a win and an Astros loss to advance.
In the National League, the Phillies can avoid one of the ugliest collapses in late-September history with a win, but if they lose and Arizona wins, the Diamondbacks will sneak into the National League's third wild card spot.

The White Sox could take greater liberties with their lineup in a meaningless Game 162 against the Rockies, but a real starter is taking the mound in Anthony Kay. With the White Sox still easing Chase Meidorth through a sore hamstring, the biggest indicator of the stakes -- or lack thereof -- is the absence of Miguel Vargas against a left-handed pitcher. He's played in 159 games this year and drew his 99th, 100th and 101st walks on Saturday, so he has no more round numbers to hit.
