White Sox Minor Keys: July 10, 2026

With the White Sox trading Jacob Gonzalez to Pittsburgh a couple innings into Charlotte's game against Nashville Friday night, we can close the book on one of the more remarkable prospect turnarounds in White Sox history.

Putting it another way, Gonzalez hit 17 total homers over his first 1,264 plate appearances, then hit 19 homers over 239 PA in this year alone.

Nashville 11, Charlotte 9

• Rikuu Nishida went 0-for-3 with two walks and a strikeout.
• Jacob Gonzalez doubled in his final plate appearance in the organization before being lifted.
• Ryan Galanie went 3-for-5 with a homer, two doubles and a strikeout.
• Shane Murphy: 2.1 IP, 9 H, 8 R, 8 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, 4 HR, 46 of 68 pitches for strikes.

Notes:

*The Knights entered the ninth trailing 11-5, but ended the game with the winning run at the plate. Riley Unroe flied out with runners on the corners.

Birmingham 10, Columbus 1

• Caleb Bonemer went 2-for-5 with a strikeout.
• Anthony DePino was 2-for-5 with a homer and a strikeout.
• Boston Smith, 1-for-3 with a homer, two walks and a stolen base.
• Colby Shelton went 2-fo-5 with a homer, double and strikeout.
• Samuel Zavala was 1-for-4 with two strikeouts.

Highlights:

*All homers went to right field, and Smith's was the most impressive.

Winston-Salem 7, Asheville 3

• Kyle Lodise went 1-for-5 with a strikeout and a stolen base.
• Jeral Perez was 3-for-4 with a walk.
• George Wolkow, 0-for-4 with a strikeout.
• Grant Umberger: 5.2 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 3 HBP

Notes:

*The Dash trailed 3-0 entering the ninth, and hitting coach Adam Sinkoe was ejected protesting Wolkow's strikeout for the first out in that inning. He timed it right.

Kannapolis 6, Delmarva 3 (Game 1, 7 innings)

• Jaden Fauske went 1-for-2 with two walks and two stolen bases.
• Matthew Boughton was 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout.
• Nick McLain, 1-for-2 with a double, walk and sac fly.
• Christian Gonzalez went 1-for-3 with a sac fly and a strikeout.
• Alexander Albertus homered, singled twice, walked once and was caught stealing.

Kannapolis 2, Delmarva 1 (Game 2, 7 innings)

• Jaden Fauske went 0-for-2 with a walk, strikeout and stolen base.
• Matthew Boughton had half Kanny's hits by going 1-for-3 with a strikeout, but was caught stealing.
• Alexander Albertus went 0-for-3 with a K.

DSL Rangers Blue 11, DSL White Sox 9

• Fernando Graterol doubled, walked, hit a sac fly and struck out twice.
• Carlos Vielma was 1-for-2 with a double, walk and HBP.
• Sebastian Romero went 2-for-5 with two strikeouts.
• Ronald Cardozo singled twice, walked once and hit a sac fly.
• Felix Lebron singled, struck out thrice and got plunked.
• Roderic Ramírez: 4 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 2 K
