Sporcle Saturday: 4+ inning saves

A hint.

|Public Domain

Good morning!

In case you missed it the other night, Tyler Schweitzer did something no Sox pitcher had accomplished in nearly a quarter-century: record a four-inning save. That, of course, piqued my curiosity: just how many times throughout franchise history have Sox pitchers had such a save?

As it turns out (unsurprisingly), a fair amount! Of course, with the decline of the long reliever, such occasions were more common from the 1980s and further back into baseball history. What's interesting about the list of Sox pitchers is that it includes some relievers, but also a fair number of starters: presumably, some of those guys were pressed into emergency action for some reason or another.

Today's Sporcle asks you to try and name those Sox pitchers to record a 4+ inning save: in all, there are 97 names. How many can you get? Good luck!
