The White Sox have won seven of their last 10 series entering this afternoon's rubber match.

The past two days in San Francisco are the first time the Sox offense has gone homerless in back-to-back games in nearly a month (April 25-26).

Randal Grichuk is hitting .314/.351/.657 this year against left-handers, with three of his four home runs. It's all of 37 plate appearances and there is the 10-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio to consider.

Speaking of strikeout-to-walk ratios, Robbie Ray has historically dominated the Sox. He has a 2.78 ERA in 32⅓ innings across five starts, but 46 strikeouts and five walks better tells the story.

The Guardians designated Rule 5 pick Peyton Pallette on Sunday, who posted a 5.23 ERA and walked 16 in 20⅔ innings. Should he clear waivers, he is likely inbound to the White Sox organization.

Edgar Quero is getting two starts behind the plate this series for the first time in the month of May.
