Tanner McDougal left his start against Gwinnett on Wednesday while warming up for a second inning of work, and since his previous start was cut short with what was said to be hamstring tightness, the hope was that it continued to grab on him.
Alas, the White Sox said later in the afternoon that McDougal departed with right forearm tightness, which isn't what you want to hear for any pitcher, much less one who's already had Tommy John surgery. The team said he is undergoing further testing.
McDougal came out touching 98, but was down to 96 by the end of his 13 pitches.
