When a quick view of the scores for the White Sox farm system Tuesday night showed that the Winston-Salem Dash beat the Asheville Tourists 16-6, I first assumed the game was at rustic McCormick Field, what with its right field fence a mere 297 feet away from home plate.
But nope, the Dash were home at Truist Ballpark. They just made it look that small with the combination of 11 hits -- six for extra bases -- and nine walks along with a 6-for-15 performance with runners in scoring position.
Of those six hits, three were homers, and they were hit consecutively, as Caleb Bonemer, Colby Shelton and Anthony DePino went back-to-back-to-back in the third inning.
Bonemer charged a high 1-1 fastball from Luis Rodriguez:

Shelton embodied Hawk Harrelson's axiom that the more pitches you see, the more dangerous you become, as he rifled the 10th pitch of the at-bat out to right:

And although that knocked Rodriguez out of the game, that didn't knock the Dash off course, as DePino deposited a 1-1 fastball from Anthony Cruz out to center:
