The Birmingham Barons wrapped up their regular season with a 3-2 loss to the Biloxi Shuckers, but since their postseason berth and initial Southern League destination were wrapped up more than a week ago, the result of the game can take a backseat to how they scored their two runs.
Sam Antonacci crossed the plate both times, and in noteworthy fashion. His first journey around the bases is so specific to Antonacci's reputation that it borders on parody: reaching on his 39th HBP of the season, stealing his 55th base to get into scoring position, and when his attempt at a 56th steal was foield by Caden Connor's grounder to second, he just kept running and beat the throw home.
Sam Antonacci just being a dawg. Antonacci (HBP) scores from 2B on a Caden Connor groundball to 2B. 1-0 #Barons. pic.twitter.com/7Ma4QKfmzW

Two innings later, he could trot around the bases on his first Double-A homer of his career, a no-doubt drive that short-hopped the batting cages behind the right field wall.
Sam Antonacci doing all of the things today. He bounces this ball off the batting cages in RF for his first AA HR. Congrats @snacci5! pic.twitter.com/3hHKH4DNxO
