Good morning!
Entering Friday evening's game against the Padres, Chase Meidroth sits on a hitting streak of 13 games. That's the longest such streak by a White Sox batter since 2022, when Jose Abreu had a streak of 14 games, as did Luis Robert, Jr., with two separate 14-gamers.
Should Meidroth make it to 15, that'd make him the first to accomplish that since 2021; here's hoping I didn't jinx anything by deciding to make him the focus of this week's Sporcle. Today, let’s examine which White Sox players throughout franchise history have recorded a hitting streak of at least 15 games (can span multiple seasons). That’s 142 entries: how many can you name? Good luck!
