The Birmingham Barons' six-game losing streak -- and their hopes of a first-half division title -- died on Sunday, but even a seven-game sweep of the Columbus Clingstones wouldn't have changed the outcome, since the Chattanooga Lookouts had already built up a big lead en route to their seven-game sweep of the Rocket City Trash Pandas.
