White Sox prospect Colson Montgomery

Good morning!

Okay: I recognize that using a photo of Colson Montgomery to lead with this post is likely more hopeful than it is realistic, but if I'm unable to provide you with good feelings and optimism now --2.5 months before Opening Day-- then when will I?

The 2025 White Sox will most certainly be calling up a variety of rookies over the course of the season, and the aim would be for at least a couple of them to provide some glimmer of success for the future. Today's Sporcle looks back at past rookies who have done just that: contributed a minimum (in some way or another) of 2 (Baseball Reference) wins above replacement on the season. The franchise hasn't seen a rookie accomplish that since 2016, thanks to a variety of reasons including a global pandemic.

In all, you'll be tasked with attempting to name 31 players. How many can you get? Good luck!
