White Sox Prospects

White Sox Minor Keys: June 27, 2024

Javier Mogollon (James Fegan/Sox Machine)

For Baseball America this month, James Fegan wrote about Javier Mogollon, who captured his attention when he dropped in on Arizona Complex League White Sox earlier this month.

It's basically a thumbnail version of what he wrote about Mogollon in his travelogue post here, but leading the way instead of capping off the article.

But with his frenetic style of play, Mogollon stands out from the pack in Rookie ball the way any prospect should.

“I was always known as the kid who came out to play hard and played with lots of energy,” Mogollon said via interpreter.

“That kid has too many tools,” joked ACL White Sox manager Danny Gonzalez. “I don’t think he has five. He has more than that.”

It ends with a brief note about Mathias LaCombe, but thanks to space constraints, Baseball America readers won't know what they're missing there.
