DaSpartan’s plan: The Winning Offseason

PREAMBLE

Going into this offseason the White sox have entered the time in which it is time to win. The White Sox have already fired Ricky and Coop this will cause a train reaction for money spending and good signings. They’re going to make big splashes for pitching and an RF from the Big Apple.

COACHING STAFF

FREE AGENTS

No. 1: Trevor Bauer (4 years/$110). Trevor comes to the south side and is an instant hit. Him, Gio, and the Big D will be a scary trio for the AL

No. 2: Jose Quintana (2 years/$15 Mil/ year 2 club option) Sox need another starter/long relief like Gio Gonzalez was.

No. 3: Trevor May (3 years/$33 mil) We need bullpen help and May would fit the bill and has experience in the AL central

I’m sure there will be other smaller minor league deals to add depth in the organization and for competition.

TRADES

No. 1: Michael Conforto to the South Side hitmen- The Chicago White Sox have a blockbuster deal to land Conforto. They send over Rutherford, Stiever, Thompson and Sheets for Conforto

No. 2: Josh Hader for Carlos Rodon and PTBNL-The Sox this offseason will be creating a super bullpen that will match the best

EXTENSIONS

No.1: Lucas Giolito (4 years/~$100 million) Let’s get our ace a deal shall we?

No.2: Codi Heuer (5 years/~$20 Million) This deal will be similar and be signed around the same time as Aaron Bummer

No.3: Andrew Vaughn (6 years/$60 Million)  This deal will follow the past offseason of having top prospects getting deals done so this would not surprise me whatsoever

No.4: Josh Hader (3-4 years/ $10 million annual) Keeping this bullpen together for a while

No.5: Micheal Conforto (4 years/$60 Million)

SUMMARY

The 26 man roster opening day

Catchers: Yasmani Grandal, Zack Collins

Infielders: Jose Abreu, Andrew Vaughn, Nick Madrigal, Tim Anderson, Yoan Moncada

Outfielder: Luis Robert, Eloy Jimenez, Micheal Conforto

Utility: Leury Garcia, Danny Mendick, and Adam Engel

Starting Pitcher: Trevor Bauer, Lucas Giolito, Dallas Keuchel, Dylan Cease/Dane Dunning, Jose Quintana

Bullpen: Trevor May, Evan Marshall, Alex Colome, Aaron Bummer, Josh Hader, Codi Heuer, Dane Dunning/Dylan Cease, and Jace Fry

The payroll should be around $150 million give or take a few mil. I went at this filling in the rotation fixes and bullpen help. While also keeping the long term winning of the team in place by giving extensions and getting our present and future right fielder in Conforto and locking him up. This team should be the front runners in the American League Central while being good favorites for the American League representative.

Rodon for Hader is…. very, very light. Rodon is a non-tender candidate. Hader is the most valuable reliever in baseball, probably.
