Andrew Vaughn made his professional debut on Sunday night, and he'll carry a .500 average into his second game.

Vaughn went 2-for-4 in the Arizona League, with both hits singles. He also struck out and got plunked. Neither of the singles are awe-inspiring, but here they are for posterity:

It would be cool if Vaughn could somehow become the first White Sox first-round pick to destroy low-minors pitcher upon sight. The last three all struggled to distinguish themselves in their first half-seasons:

Madrigal's come the closest to looking as advertised out of the box, although he struggled to pull the ball in the air last season. This season's line -- .303/.372/.398 -- is more reflective of a threat.

    • Danny Mendick went 1-for-5 with a strikeout, and was caught stealing.
    • Yermin Mercedes was 1-for-3 with a double and a walk.
    • Hector Santiago: 5 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 5 K, 2 HR

Birmingham 6, Tennessee 2 (10 innings)

    • Luis Robert went 1-for-5 with two strikeouts.
    • Nick Madrigal was 1-for-5 with a triple and a strikeout.
    • Blake Rutherford was 1-for-5 with a double and two strikeouts.
    • Gavin Sheets, 1-for-3 with a homer, two walks and a strikeout.
    • Luis Gonzalez went 0-for-3 with a sac fly, walk and a strikeout.
    • Ti'Quan Forbes went 1-for-4 with a walk, and was picked off.
    • Laz Rivera was 0-for-4 with a strikeout.

Winston-Salem 3, Salem 2

    • Steele Walker went 2-for-3 with a walk.
    • Kade McClure: 6 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 4 K

West Virginia 9, Kannapolis 8

    • Lenyn Sosa went 1-for-3 with a walk and a sac bunt.
    • Bryce Bush was 0-for-5, but no strikeouts.
    • Romy Gonzalez was 4-for-5 with two homers.
    • Corey Zangari, 2-for-5 with a homer and a double.
    • Amado Nunez singled and struck out four times.
    • Jhoandro Alfaro was 0-for-4 with a K.
    • Davis Martin bounced back: 6 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 7 K

Idaho Falls 14, Great Falls 6

    • Cabera Weaver singled, walked twice and struck out twice.
    • Camilo Quinteiro went 3-for-5 with a stolen base and a strikeout.
    • Harvin Mendoza was 0-for-5 with two strikeouts.
    • Lency Delgado and Anderson Comas both were 1-for-4 with a walk and a K.
    • Kleyder Sanchez went 1-for-4 with a double.
    • Ramon Pineda: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K

AZL Rangers 7, AZL White Sox 6

    • James Beard went 2-for-6 with three strikeouts.
    • Jose Rodriguez was 2-for-4 with a homer and a strikeout.
    • Andrew Vaughn made his pro debut and went 2-for-4 with an HBP and a strikeout.
    • DJ Gladney matched Vaughn.
    • Bryan Ramos was 2-for-4 with a walk.
    • Josue Guerrero went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.
    • Harold Diaz was 3-for-5 with a triple, double and strikeout.
    • Yoelvin Silven: 4 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 K
