A quick follow-up from Monday's Minor Keys: The White Sox agreed to terms with second-round pick Matthew Thompson, reportedly signing him to a $2.1 million bonus, which is about $450,000 over slot. One down, two to go.

There might be nobody in the White Sox farm system Our Man in Charlotte Jonathan Lee enjoys talking to more than Steele Walker.

And Walker might enjoy talking to Jonathan, as he came through with a three-run homer later in the day.

    • Luis Robert went 0-for-3 with a walk, an HBP and two strikeouts.
    • Nick Madrigal was 1-for-4 with an HBP and a stolen base.
    • Luis Gonzalez and Blake Rutherford both were 0-for-5 with two strikeouts.
    • Gavin Sheets singled, walked, got plunked and struck out twice.

    • Lenyn Sosa went 1-for-3 with two walks.
    • Bryce Bush had his first multi-hit game since May 11, going 2-for-4 with a double and a strikeout.
    • Corey Zangari was 0-for-4.
    • Romy Gonalez, 2-for-5 with two doubles and a strikeout.

Greenville 12, Kannapolis 3 (Game 2, 7 innings)

    • Lenyn Sosa went 0-for-3 with a strikeout.
    • Bryce Bush had another multi-hit game, this time tripling and singling along with a strikeout.
    • Corey Zangari went 0-for-3.
    • Romy Gonzalez struck out in his only PA.
    • Amado Nunez singled and struck out.
    • Jhoandro Alfaro went 0-for-2.
    • Davis Martin stumbled: 4 IP, 10 H, 8 R, 7 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, 1 HR, 1 HBP

    • Cabera Weaver doubled and struck out thrice.
    • Kelvin Maldonado Went 1-for-3 with a walk and a pickoff.
    • Luis Curbelo is back in Great Falls, where he went 1-for-4 with a strikeout.
    • Harvin Mendoza also went 1-for-4 with a K.
    • Luis Mieses was 2-for-4 with a double.
    • Sam Abbott, 1-for-4 with two strikeouts.
    • Ditto Anderson Comas, but his hit was a triple.

    • Jose Rodriguez and DJ Gladney both were 1-for-4 with two strikeouts.
    • Bryan Ramos came up a homer short of the cycle on a 3-for-4 night.
    • Anthony Coronado, 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.
    • Victor Torres went 1-for-4 with a double and a strikeout.

DSL Blue Jays 5, DSL White Sox 4 (5 innings)

    • Anthony Espinoza went 1-for-2 with a walk, HBP and strikeout.
    • Benyamin Bailey singled, drew two walks and struck out once.
    • Alberto Bernal went 0-for-2 with an HBP.
    • Luis Pineda went 2-for-3.
    • Cesar Jimenez was 0-for-3 with two strikeouts.
