Following up: Yolmer Sanchez wins arbitration case

We interrupt this Prospect Week to bring you the following messages:

*Yolmer Sanchez won his arbitration case. The arbitrator awarded Sanchez a $2.35 million salary for 2018, while the White Sox had filed for $2.1 million. It's the first time the White Sox have gone to arbitration with a player since 2001, so Keith Foulke either pops open a bottle of champagne, or his 16-year streak of doing so is over.

Only Avisail Garcia's case remains, and that's an even bigger divide ($6.7 million to $5.85 million), so I'm guessing he'll go the distance as well.

*The White Sox may have found a new radio partner, as Bruce Levine reports that a deal is near with WGN for "2018 and beyond." The station's alumni touted the partnership as one that would be beneficial to both sides:
