Luis Castillo (Uniform No. 58), Huascar Brazobán (No. 50), Brenton Doyle (No. 7) and Joey Bart (No. 25) were all officially activated on the roster. With a left-handed starter on the mound, Doyle and Bart are in the lineup. Castillo is scheduled to debut on Thursday.
Edgar Quero, Tyler Schweitzer and Tyler Gilbert (who was on a rehab assignment) were all officially optioned to make room.
In conjunction with his jersey retirement ceremony this weekend, the White Sox and Ozzie Guillen are launching a fundraiser supporting relief efforts for the deadly twin earthquakes that killed thousands in his native Venezuela in June. Proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross Venezuela Earthquake Relief and Global Empowerment Misson.
