Along with the major league club, the White Sox's four full-season affiliates are also in their All-Star break, leaving just the team's Arizona Complex League and Dominican Summer League affiliates for the first several days of the week.
With less action and fewer transactions, the Minor Keys downshifts to a post whenever there's a critical mass of box scores and/or prospect news. In this case, there's a little bit of both.
Jeral Perez landed at No. 7 on Baseball America's Hot Sheet, albeit with the kind of week that doesn't tell you much. He's hitting .339/.456/.500 over his first 14 games back with Winston-Salem after spending his first 60 games scuffling in Birmingham.
On the rehab front, Adam Fogel joined Billy Carlson in breaking off the rust with the ACL White Sox. Fogel was an emerging story over the first few weeks of the season, as the guy who won the 2024 Pioneer League MVP with the Missoula Paddleheads hit .279/.361/.574 line over his first 17 games with the Birmingham Barons, even though he'd started the year 4-for-26. But he strained a hamstring at the end of April, then reaggravated coming off the injured list his first game back on May 24 and hadn't played since.
And finally, the DSL White Sox will have three representatives in the DSL All-Star Game this Sunday in Sebastian Romero, Ronald Cardozo and Yordany Marte.
