Ever since the White Sox hired David Keller to oversee their lagging international operations, the team has insisted that a new baseball academy is a cornerstone of its efforts to bring its operations in the Dominican Republic up to speed.
On Thursday, the team officially announced the timeline of the Boca Chica facility in a video featuring a lot of guys in whiteshirts and sunglasses.

Fall 2026 is when Major League Baseball's collective bargaining agreement to expire, so we'll see whether there's an international draft in place by the time the team gets to put it into regular use.
